Arts and Audiences - Stockholm

The other Arts and Audiences Conference! 
It takes place in Stockholm from 10 to 12. October.

 

The main theme of the conference is culture and inclusion, and has as its main question how to arrange so that the art is experienced more relevant to multiple audiences.

Maybe an interesting case for the Bergen conference: the Royal Flemish Harmonic recently went through a process of change with respect to “diversity” in their programming & marketing. “Diversity” is being interpreted as a broad concept, based on social, economical, demographic & ethnic parameters. The former director of the Royal Flemish Harmonic was a sociologist in charge of the first scientific survey on cultural participation in Flanders. The survey results were a source of inspiration for their change process.
