Cultural institutions need to take a deep dive if they really want to attract their missing audiences, according to a new EU report.
Proving that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover (or title), there are many compelling reasons to read the EU’s recent ‘Policies and Good Practices in the…

Peter Bary said… Hi Rich, we have published a general profile of CultuurNet Vlaanderen in an approximative sort of English, as discussed. Pls have a look at http://www.cultuurnet.be/over-ons/english : is that the kind of stuff you had in mind?
Do we have that kind of profiles for all partners involved?
Hope you're well!
Many thanks, Peter
Peter Bary said… Gosh Rich, lots and lots and lots of things! One of the most exciting projects I'm currently working on is the development of a segmentation tool, inspired by the UK Arts Council project "Audiences Insight". I'd like to launch our tool later this year, in the slipstream of new research re the cultural participation in Flanders. The general idea is not only to create a tool for cultural organizations but also to set up a series of marketing pilots we can experiment with on a number of popular cultural websites we run here at CultuurNet (e.g. www.uitinvlaanderen.be).
What else? O yes: next week we will publish a webpage entirely devoted to our visit to the "Extending the Margins" kick-off in Copenhagen. We will publish six short travel reports and a document describing the ins and outs of an intercultural communication project we'd like to introduce in Belgium. Unfortunately the reports are all in Dutch - but maybe I can send you an English translation of the most relevant fragments?
