SOCIALISATION: LEARNING HOW TO BEHAVE IN A DIGITAL WORLD

How is social media changing the way audiences engage with culture – and the way cultural producers are engaging with their audiences?

In the run up to AEN-partner Culturnet Flanders’ conference on digital engagement (December 2012), we're launching a debate on the impact of social media on cultural managers and producers.

  • Who is using it effectively?
  • How is it being measured?
  • Is it turning on new audiences?
  • Generating additional ticket and other income?
  • Reinforcing brand loyalty?

Within the Audiences Europe Network it is, of course all about you!

Here’s the deal.  We’re kicking off with a Twitter Networking Initiative – all AEN members who are Tweeting can post their Twitter names on the Forum here on the network so that we can all start following each other, a great way of building traffic to your fascinating Twitter postings.

Do you Tweet?

There’ll also be a whole bunch of articles and videos from people with a story to tell. And yes, that includes you. Tell us what why and how you’ve been exploiting social media platforms, and what it's meant for you and your organization.
